Anni Summers - Gut Health Specialist

My Experience

I have been successfully coaching clients to achieve their nutrition-related goals since 2016. Previously within the NHS, and now through my private dietetic practice.

As a UK HCPC Registered Dietitian and Gut Health Specialist, who offers personalised nutrition services. , I am experienced in the management of a wide range of digestive conditions.

I have a particular interest and expertise in functional gastrointestinal disorders, also known as disorders of gut-brain interaction, with a specific focus on Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). I also have experience in managing Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), including Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis.

In addition to my comprehensive knowledge in my field, I am fully trained and experienced in the implementation of the low FODMAP diet. My proficiency extends to Crohn’s disease dietary therapies, including exclusive enteral nutrition (a liquid diet) and the Crohn’s Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED).

My approach is holistic and person-centred, taking into account well-being and lifestyle factors that can contribute to digestive symptoms. This “whole person” approach allows me to listen to and understand what’s going on for you as an individual, and then work alongside you to improve your nutrition and gut health.

You can find the full list of my services here. Also, check out my blog post Meeting Anni Summers.
